I love nuts. All of them. It doesn’t matter what kind or really even in what form, to me, nuts are like crack. Add some spice to them and forget it- I will eat them all. Here is a recipe for all of you nut-aholics like me. This is such an easy recipe it almost doesn’t even count as a recipe! It is delicious, makes a great appetizer or dessert, is great to bring to a party or snack on obsessively in private. Either way, this is a must make.

Here is what you need:

  • 4 oz raw walnut halvesSweet and Spicy Walnuts Ingredients
  • 1 Tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 ½ Tablespoons Maple syrup
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper

Preheat your oven to 350.

Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl until nuts are completely covered with all the good stuff. Spread the nuts out onto a parchment lined sheet pan and bake for about 15 minutes, until you can smell the delicious smell of roasting nuts.

Stir the nuts often and watch them really closely. They can go from fine to burnt really quickly so keep an eye on them, especially towards the end of cooking time.

Eat them up. Or bring them to the Vail Valley Pharmacy for me to eat!
