Are you a fan of Chris Kresser? He is a New York Times best-selling author of the book The Paleo Cure, he has a very popular podcast called Revolution Health Radio, and he is a world-renowned functional medicine practitioner. Chances are, if you are a self-taught health-nut, you are familiar with his work.
Several months ago, I decided to take a year-long physician training program to learn from Chris Kresser. The Kresser Institute has put together this program, called the ADAPT Framework Level One to help teach practitioners how to incorporate Ancestral Nutrition and Functional Medicine into their practices. Click on the link to find out more about what I am learning!
In this course, we focus on how to use advanced diagnostic techniques to identify the underlying cause of someone’s illness. I already use some of these labs in my practice, and some of them are new to me. All will be incorporated into my practice as I learn and develop the skills to put them into meaningful use.
We also are learning how to individualize our treatments. No one person is the same as another. We all have different symptoms and different life circumstances that shape who we are and how we recover our health. The ADAPT Framework is a personalized for each and every patient.
Throughout this year of learning, I will be developing my skills and fine-tuning my practice. I hope to be able to help even more people recover their health. I am taking new patients, and hope to help you, your friends, and loved ones live a life free from suffering!
Hi Dr. Klearman,
Can you recommend the ADAPT course? Is it exhaustive and sufficient to prepare one to be a truly helpful and competent health coach? Thanks!
I am not a health coach so I cannot speak to that program. His practitioner training was very helpful, though!
